Our pokeberry ink is made by hand in small batches from the berries of the pokeweed plant--poisonous to humans and delicious to birds, we have a saying here: if you can't eat the invasives, turn them into ink! Everything we sell is made from natural ingredients farmed or foraged on our small farm in rural Virginia.
Pokeberry ink will change color over time, so if you are happy with the color you have, be sure to use a fixative after use. Or experiment and have a color-changing work of art.
Contains 2 oz of pokeberry ink, 10 drops of gum arabic, and a clove. Shake well when using. Add gum arabic to thicken to your liking. For brushes and dip pens. DO NOT EAT or lick your brushes.
